AI Cameras that tell people from shadows
Deep-learning CCTV that recognises humans, vehicles and faces, so you get fewer false alarms, faster searches and alerts that actually matter.
What is an AI CCTV camera?
An AI CCTV camera uses a built-in neural-network chip to classify what it sees (person, vehicle, face, plate) instead of reacting to any pixel change. The result is far fewer false alarms from shadows, rain and insects, plus the ability to search footage by object type.
Three levels of camera intelligence
Tap through to see how the same scene is understood by each type of camera.

Everything that moves is a trigger
Shadows, rain, insects and headlights all create alerts. You have to open each clip to find out.

Only people and vehicles trigger alerts
The camera classifies each object and filters the rest, so a push notification means something.

Rules, zones and identification
Intrusion zones, line crossing, face and plate recognition, counting and more, depending on the model.
Standard vs AI vs advanced AI cameras
Capabilities vary by brand and model; we recommend the tier that fits your risk, not the most expensive one.
| Capability | Standard motion | AI human & vehicle | Advanced AI |
|---|---|---|---|
| How it detects | Pixel change in the frame | Deep-learning object classification | Classification plus rules and recognition |
| False alarms | High: shadows, rain, insects, lights | Low | Lowest; rule-based triggers |
| Smart alerts | “Motion detected” | “Person” or “Vehicle” with snapshot | “Person entered zone”, “Plate read” |
| Search footage by object | — | ✓ | ✓ (plus face / plate search) |
| Perimeter intrusion & line crossing | — | Model dependent | ✓ |
| Face detection / recognition | — | — | Model dependent |
| Licence plate recognition (ANPR) | — | — | Dedicated ANPR models |
| People counting & heat map | — | — | Model dependent |
| Best for | Low-risk indoor areas | Homes, shops, offices | Factories, car parks, high-risk sites |
What AI cameras can do
Illustrated examples of the analytics we configure. Availability depends on the camera model.
Human & vehicle classification
Recognises people and vehicles and ignores everything else, cutting nuisance alerts.
Perimeter intrusion & line crossing
Draw virtual zones and tripwires; get alerted only when a person or vehicle crosses them.
Face detection & recognition
Detect faces for better snapshots, or match against an authorised list on supported models.
Licence plate recognition (ANPR)
Reads plates at gates and car parks for access logs, blacklists and fast footage search.
People counting & heat map
Count footfall and see where visitors linger, useful for shops and showrooms.
Fire & smoke detection
Early visual warning in warehouses and plant rooms on selected thermal and AI models.
Where does the AI run?
The same analytics can live in three places. We choose based on camera count, budget and how fast alerts must be.
Edge AI (in the camera)
- Fastest alerts, works if the recorder fails
- Less bandwidth: only events are sent
- Each camera needs its own AI chip
NVR AI (on the recorder)
- Upgrade standard cameras with AI
- Cost-effective for many cameras
- Limited by the recorder's channel capacity
Cloud AI
- Advanced analytics without local hardware
- Manage many sites in one dashboard
- Needs a stable internet connection
From recording a crime to preventing one
Selected AI cameras add a white-light strobe, a siren and two-way audio. When a person enters a protected zone at night, the camera can flash, warn them off and notify you at the same time.
- Strobe light and audible warning on intrusion
- Two-way talk from your phone
- Custom voice messages for your property
- Schedules: arm at night, relax in the day
Strobe
Bright white light draws attention and lights the scene.
Siren
Audible alarm to deter and alert neighbours.
Two-way audio
Speak to visitors or intruders from the app.
Instant push
Snapshot and clip delivered to your phone.
AI camera series we install
Final model selection follows your site survey. Detailed specifications are in the brochure.
| Series | Resolution | AI functions | Night vision | Form | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Entry level | 4MP | Human & vehicle detection | Colour or IR (range by model) | Bullet, Turret | Homes, small shops |
| Mid range | 4MP – 8MP (4K) | Intrusion, line crossing, strobe & siren | Colour or IR (range by model) | Bullet, Dome | Shops, offices, perimeters |
| Advanced | 8MP (4K) | Face, ANPR, counting (model dependent) | IR (range by model) | Bullet, PTZ | Factories, gates, car parks |
Where AI cameras pay off
Homes
Driveway and gate alerts for people only, so pets and passing cars stay quiet.
Retail
Footfall counting, cashier coverage and after-hours intrusion alerts.
Factories
Perimeter zones, vehicle logging and safe-area monitoring.
Car parks & gates
Plate capture for access logs and fast evidence search.

AI camera questions, answered
Yes. Because the camera classifies objects, alerts can be limited to people and vehicles, ignoring moving shadows, rain, insects and headlights that trigger basic motion detection.
Often yes: an AI-capable NVR can add human and vehicle detection to compatible standard cameras. We confirm compatibility during the survey.
Face and plate recognition should be used responsibly and in line with Malaysian data-protection rules (PDPA). We advise on signage, access control and data retention.
Edge AI works locally. Internet is only needed for remote viewing and push notifications.
It depends on risk, lighting, distance and the actions you want. Book a free survey and we will recommend a tier with a camera layout plan.
Benefits of AI Cameras
Far fewer false alarms
Cameras recognise people and vehicles, so shadows, rain, insects and animals no longer trigger alerts.
Faster footage search
Filter hours of recordings by person or vehicle and find an event in minutes instead of scrubbing through video.
Real-time alerts that matter
Receive notifications on your phone only when a person or vehicle appears in a zone you define.
Perimeter protection
Line crossing and intrusion detection create a virtual fence around gates, walls and compounds.
Business insight
People counting and queue detection show how many visitors you have and when you are busiest.
Works at the edge
Analysis runs in the camera or recorder, so detection continues even if the internet is down.
AI camera vs standard camera
| Feature | Standard camera | AI camera |
|---|---|---|
| What triggers an alert | Any movement in the picture | A recognised person or vehicle |
| False alarms | Frequent at night, in rain and with insects | Greatly reduced |
| Searching footage | Manual review by time | Filter by person, vehicle or event |
| Extra functions | Recording only | Line crossing, intrusion, counting, plate and face (model dependent) |
| Best for | Low-risk indoor areas and tight budgets | Gates, perimeters, shops and unattended premises |
Many projects mix both: AI cameras on entrances and perimeters, standard cameras on secondary areas.
